No one wants to be denied boarding at the airport, right?
Before you start planning your next vacation, check your passport!
Here are 3 things to check and determine if your passport is in good condition or if it is time for renewal.
Check the expiration date
Has it expired or is it expiring soon? Often, your passport must be valid for 6 months past your intended travel dates? It is a requirement of many countries and airlines. Though there are exceptions to the rule, I don't recommend it as things can always change.
Check for damages
You might think that a missing page or a tear is no big deal, but don't risk it. You never know when you will be denied boarding or entering a country because of a damaged passport.
Check for blank pages
If you are running low on blank pages, it might be time to renew your passport. In most cases, you will need at least 2 blank pages in your passport. So, if you are below or nearing that, it is time for a renewal.
Passport Processing Times
If you need to renew, always give yourself more than enough time for processing and especially now. Passport processing times are currently taking up to 18 weeks and 8-10 weeks if expedited. For passport renewals go here.
Don’t limit where you travel. Be sure to check your passport for those 3 items and determine if it is in good condition or time to renew your passport.
