Finding something for everyone to enjoy on vacation isn't always an easy task.
When planning trips, I always recommend choosing a destination with various activities that will keep everyone engaged. Especially if traveling with children, multiple families or friends.
Besides exploring the beautiful Hilton Head beaches and playing in the water, both of which are must, what else is there to do? There is something for everyone and plenty to do whether traveling with or without kids.
Explore Sea Pines Resort. You can stay at the Inn & Club at Harbour Town at the Sea Pines resort, a wonderful property. However, if you choose to stay elsewhere you can still explore Sea Pines. A minimal entry fee per vehicle will get you into Sea Pines. Visit Lawson Stables for horseback riding along the trails or pony rides for the kids. Stroll through Harbour Town Marine, visit the lighthouse museum, and explore the Sea Pines Forest preserve.
Get on the water. There are endless ways to get out on the water. Go kayaking or paddleboarding. Relax on a sunset sail, go fishing or dolphin watching. Choose a speed boat or a leisurely ride. There is something for everyone.
Park the car and hop on a bike. Enjoy the island and its natural setting by bike. With over 60 miles of multi-use trails connecting the many beaches and destinations on the island, biking is a breeze.
Visit Pinckney Island. One of my favorite spots for bird watching and nature walks. Enjoy the view, look for Great Blue Herons, Egrets, butterflies and so much more.
Visit the Coastal Discovery Museum to learn about the local environment and history. Explore the property, historic buildings, and gardens on your own; take part in tours and informative lectures, and let the little ones get hands-on in the interactive the kids zone.
Go Ziplining. If you are looking for something off the water, why not go ziplining.
Take a helicopter tour (if you dare). Take in a completely different perspective of the island and marvel at the breathtaking surrounding waterways.
